Drag-And-Drop Email Addresses To The Browser Favorites

I keep a list of frequently used email addresses in my browser Favorites list -- usually people I often send links to, support addresses I need a lot, and so on. Call it lazy, but it does save a few steps! -etLux

Step 1.

Open both Outlook Express and Internet Explorer.

Step 2.

In Outlook Express, select a message, perhaps one you have replied to already, where you can see the address you want to add to the browser Favorites in the Outlook Express preview pane.

Step 3.

Click the left mouse button and hold it over the email address.  Drag first up to the taskbar, over the Internet Explorer browser's button, there; then, when the browser comes to the front, continue to drag over Favorites on the browser menu.  And last, when the Favorites list opens, continue dragging down over the list and release the mouse button.

The email address will appear on the Favorites list.  If you wish, you can right-click over the email address and rename it (the link will still be to the email address).  Later, if you want to get orderly about things, you can use Organize Favorites from the browser Favorites menu to move it to a folder.

Step 4.

To use the email address from the browser Favorites list, just click on it -- Outlook Express will open a new email to that address.
