  • Advice Not legal advice Pages on ownership and licensing explain; they do not advise.

Using the site

Anyone may read, print, bookmark and link to any page, with no account or fee. By using the site you accept these terms. Do not try to disrupt the site, overload it with automated requests, or use it to distribute anything harmful. Automated reading that respects the site’s robots file is fine.

Reusing code and text

Code is released under the MIT licence unless its record names another. Text, the policy tracker and the glossary are released under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. Both allow copying, changing and commercial use; the licence page sets out what each asks of you. Quotations and material from other sources keep their owners’ terms.

No warranty

The code and text on this site are provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. The editors test the scripts in current browsers and check the articles against their sources, but browsers change and sources are updated. Test any code in your own project before you rely on it. To the extent the law allows, the editors are not liable for any loss arising from use of the site or its contents.

Pages about copyright, licences and policies explain the public record. For a decision about your own situation, ask a lawyer where you live.

Pages link to standards bodies, documentation, research papers and project pages so readers can check claims at the source. We do not control those sites, and a link or a directory listing is not an endorsement. Read each tool’s own terms before you connect it to your code.

Corrections, disputes and changes

If something here is wrong, or you believe material on the site infringes your rights, write to editor@codelifter.com with the page address and the details. We will look at it and correct or remove material where that is the right outcome. We may update these terms; the current version is always on this page, with its date.
